Above: The Assa Abloy Aperio AH30 Communication Hub. This device acts as the bridge between the physical wires of the Inner Range system and the wireless locks on the doors.
🧠 The Concept
Wireless locks allow you to secure doors where cabling is impossible or too expensive. The Aperio Hub connects to an Inner Range LAN module via RS-485. One hub can manage up to 8 or 16 wireless locks (depending on the model and controller) within a ~25-meter range.
🛠️ Hands-on Steps
- Mounting: Install the Hub high on a wall or ceiling with a clear line-of-sight to the doors.
- Wiring: Connect the +12V, GND, and RS-485 (A/B) lines from the Access Module Reader Port to the Hub's internal terminal block.
- Pairing: Use the Aperio PAP (Programming Application) tool and a USB dongle to "pair" each wireless lock to the Hub.
- Software Config: In Integriti/Inception, add the Hub as an "Aperio Door" and the system will automatically see the paired wireless locks as standard doors.
