🧠 The Concept

The Power Supply is the heart of the system. In Inner Range systems, we use Supervised Power Supplies that tell the controller if the AC mains has failed or if the battery is low. Always ensure your total current draw (Locks + Readers + Modules) does not exceed 80% of the rated supply.

🛠️ Hands-on Steps

  1. Check AC: Ensure the green "Power" LED is lit on the transformer.
  2. Measure Output: Use your multimeter to verify ~13.8V DC at the battery terminals (charging voltage).
  3. Connect Battery: Ensure correct polarity (Red to +, Black to -).
  4. Test Load: Disconnect AC and verify the controller stays alive on battery power.
